The knife is decently made, but be aware that it is, in reality, a two-bladed pocket knife in the shape of a fish rather than a fishing knife. The "line cutter" is supposedly the curved, serrated small blade. In addition there is a larger, smooth blade and a belt clip. Unfortunately we bought the personalized version so cannot send it back. Not badly made, but quite expensive for a simple two-bladed pocket knife and won't work as a gift for the avid fisherman it was intended.
Knife is made in China. I was told when I ordered it (because I specifically asked) that it was American made probably due to the description in the catalog about being hand finished in Florida. Also, the engraving was not the best. Everything was spelled correctly but it did not look right. I worked in printing shops for 50 years! My husband said the quality was decent for a made in China knife but it is a bit difficult and stiff opening and closing. I thought the edges were a bit sharp making the knife uncomfortable in your hand. Petalura did make right the problems and I felt the customer service went above and beyond.
