Meet the classic Aran sweater’s sophisticated city cousin. Its just as evocative of Irish charm and tradition, but the long, open, shawl-collar style with fold-back cuffs is far more elegant.
The marled yarn is made in County Donegal but the sweater itself is crafted by a third-generation studio in the heart of Dublin. Made of a blend of lambswool and cotton for warmth without bulk, with a touch of cashmere and silk for irresistible texture and drape.
Shawl collar is nice--few times when I button a sweater. I liked the idea of pattern at the cuffs. But where the sleeves meet the body of the sweater at the shoulder the stitching is very messy and cheapens the sweater. Also would be nice if more neutral color. Lastly it is a bit heavy and appearance is not coherent with a high price.
Beautifully made & love how I look in it! And the scarf is perfect with it. I will ship with you again!
I imagined myself the Grandam in my cozy winter sweater enduring the pandemic in my chair by the fire or greeting my
Grandchildren at the door. The sweater is too long and simply too much for my 5 foot 2 inch grandma body. A beautiful sweater but I am retuning it.
