The lush texture of traditional Indian crewel embroidery meets the surreal vision of Catalan artist Joan Miró in these striking pillows. All-over crewelwork flourished under India’s Mughal emperors, whose design taste was as ornate as it gets. But the technique works surprisingly well as a canvas for these dreamlike, organic shapes inspired by Miró’s Constellations drawings. The result is a design that suits decors from maximalist to minimalist to anything in between.
I've always liked the artist, Dali, so this pillow really caught my eye. I love the design and the bright colors on the neutral background are a terrific combination. Great job!
This was my first foray into introducing modern art decor in our living room & we love it!
