Each of these artfully slouchy bags is a unique work of upcycled fashion. Maya women in Chichicastenango, Guatemala, make them from vintage huipils, the traditional woven blouses worn by local indigenous women. The patterns and colors on each bag will vary as much as women’s tastes do. Fully lined with a zip top and one interior zip pocket. Handcrafted in Guatemala.
This is beautiful, perfectly sized with a leather shoulder strap. Craftsmanship shows!
Huipil bag. I love my bag. The colors are beautiful and the size is perfect. Although it’s spring and summer colors. I started carrying it in early Movember. tapestry anything draws my attention. Regina Wren
