Kaleidoscopic glassmaking techniques are front and center in this gleaming necklace. A colorful glass disc embedded with delicate gold leaf hangs from a sleek rubber cord, beckoning people to take a closer look. Handmade in Murano, Italy.
I have admired this necklace for a long time, and finally bought it. The picture does not do it justice. The gold background just sparkles and shows off the other vibrant colors wonderfully! I admit the disc was a bit larger than I thought it would be, but this only enhanced its beauty.
As others have noted, this necklace comes with the clasp made for a left-handed person. Fine, so you have to figure out how to dismantle the black lanyard through the gold colored piece that holds the pendant, which requires some force and some manual dexterity. Once I got that done and threaded for us by a right-handed person, I realized this semi-choker look may be too short on me or some of my clothing I might wear it with, so I went online and spent another $20 to receive a 22" long 3mm in width black leather replacement "necklace" to thread through the pendant.
I really like the pendant so I went to the trouble of doing all this. Without the trouble I'd call it a 5 star piece, so if you're willing to "work" at this, I do recommend the necklace. By the way, I found various necklace replacement lanyards at a place online called Sepia Tree. The thing arrived quickly, was the length i wanted, and was reasonably priced. Good luck!
