Soft, wave-like ripples reminiscent of Thailand’s southern beaches grace this crinkled cotton top which flows and flatters. Just like the solid-color version, this top is as easy to wear as your favorite T-shirt, but with an asymmetrical pocket, understated stripes, and a drapey cut to give it contemporary flair. Lightweight and easy to layer, it will be a year-round go-to. The fitted shoulder keeps the look relaxed but never sloppy. Handmade in a small workshop in northern Thailand.
To freshen up the texture, you can twist the top up when it comes out of the washing machine and let it dry that way (something you may remember doing with broomstick skirts in the 1970s, or 1990s, or today).
We recommend washing dark colors separately and drying on low heat or out of direct sunlight to minimize shrinkage and keep the colors true.
I have a black top in same style (from a local boutique) but so appreciate the teal green color. I'm short (5 feet) and I still wish it were a tad longer for my taste but it's really adorable. I'm thinking perhaps a size up may give me the length I'm looking for.
I ordered two of these tops. One is a beautiful fallish burnt orange and the other is a very lovely purple. I have several of the crinkle cotton items and they all seem to run smaller than Petalura's size chart says. I recommend a size up from the norm. I gave these 4 instead of 5 because they arrived with a strong perfume smell in the fabric. Even after the first washing they had some of that smell. Very off putting! Otherwise I like them a lot.
This is a great top - very comfortable and lightweight. I love the teal color. My only suggestion would be making it a tad bit longer. The length is perfect now but I know once I wash it (even in cold water, hang to dry) it is going to shrink up a bit.
